ALGUNOS DATOS SOBRE EL PREMIO
 El premio fue creado en 1991 por Pat Murphy para distinguir las obras que explorasen los roles de mujeres y hombres. La elección de la denominación del premio no es precisamente casual: James Tiptree, Jr. es el seudónimo masculino de la escritora Alice B. Sheldon.
